We are seeking a Night Shift System Administrator & Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. This role combines hands-on system administration with the opportunity to grow into Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. It is ideal for early-career engineers or students eager to deepen their expertise in cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and incident management.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide night-shift system administration and support (00:00 – 08:00).
  • Manage and maintain Windows servers and services (AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, MS SQL, LDAP, RADIUS).
  • Handle user account management, permissions control, and troubleshooting.
  • Support antivirus administration (Kaspersky, Bitdefender) and backup/recovery systems.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance and availability (preferably with Zabbix).
  • Assist in incident analysis, root cause investigations, and reliability documentation.
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, and alerting improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on resilience and reliability projects.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset but is not required
  • Interest in cloud infrastructure, site reliability engineering (SRE), or systems operations
  • Familiarity with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.) is a plus
  • Basic understanding of monitoring, logging, or incident response concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn industry best practices in reliability, automation, and DevOps


Work Environment


  • Remote-only
  • Participation in an on-call rotation may be required (with mentoring and training)
  • Collaborative work with cloud engineering, operations, and security teams


Highly Appreciated Skills


  • Experience with Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace
  • Experience with Plesk
  • Cisco or Microsoft certifications
