Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced
Senior VFX Artist to join our team working on The Witcher 4, the first game in a brand-new saga. We’re looking for someone who combines artistic vision with deep technical expertise, and who thrives on collaboration, creativity, and pushing the boundaries of real-time visuals in games. If you're passionate about bringing worlds to life through unforgettable visual effects, we’d love to hear from you.
Daily Responsibilities
- Create high-quality real-time visual effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematics.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to shape stunning and performant VFX.
- Contribute to creative and technical solutions that enhance the game’s storytelling and immersion.
- Explore new tools, workflows, and techniques to help evolve the future of real-time VFX.
- Ensure VFX assets meet both artistic standards and technical constraints.
- Work with leads and producers to estimate and plan work that aligns with project goals and schedules.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in game development, particularly with Unreal Engine.
- Strong artistic sensibility, with a sharp eye for detail, composition, and motion.
- Advanced skills with VFX tools and pipelines, including Niagara.
- Ability to create complex materials in Unreal Engine.
- Solid understanding of real-time rendering, lighting, shaders, and PBR.
- Expertise in real-time simulations and optimization.
- A proactive mindset, self-motivation, and openness to feedback.
- Experience owning and delivering impactful, self-directed work.
- Clear and empathetic communication skills.
- A portfolio that showcases your excellence in VFX for games.
- Proficient in written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Experience in procedural content creation in Houdini.
- Experience with Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine.

Working mode
- In-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity in Warsaw, Poland.
