We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a large-scale digital transformation project within the public sector.

You will work closely with one or more development teams, focusing primarily on backend test automation, while also performing functional and GUI testing.

In this role, you’ll:

• Define requirements for automated testing and design detailed test plans.
• Create and maintain test scripts, test environments, and test data.
• Execute integration tests (including third-party systems).
• Mentor and support other testers and developers, sharing expertise in test automation.
• Work within an Agile (Scrum / Scaled Scrum) setup across multiple parallel teams.

The testing process uses Xray for management and documentation, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern test and integration tools in a collaborative environment.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 7+ years of experience in software testing or system development with strong understanding of test planning, test cases, and complex system interactions.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation (including scripting).
• Experience in integration testing across different IT environments.
• Experience working with Camunda.
• Strong database and SQL skills for reconciliation and validation.
• Deep understanding of test data preparation in complex database structures.
• Experience testing in large IT organizations (100+ employees).
• Experience with financial or ERP systems (e.g., accounting, finance, interest calculation).
• Proven experience mentoring and supporting others in test automation.
• Agile work experience and formal training in test methodology.
• Fluent Swedish (spoken and written).

It’s an advantage if you also have:

• Experience in public sector testing and QA.
• Worked with event-driven microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Camunda Cockpit, RabbitMQ, or RedHat OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and Xray.
• Experience testing Angular front-end applications.
• Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., SoapUI, Bruno, Swagger).
• Experience with Mocha, Splunk log control, QMF, or IBM Data Studio.
• Experience as a Test Lead or in similar leadership roles.
