FREELANCE Senior Experience (UX) Designer
Fully remote, should be able to work EST hours.
10 hours a week for 2 weeks to start mid-November then will increase to 32 hours a week for 3-4 months.
Role Summary:
The Senior UX Designer shapes user interactions across products, services, and brands by deeply understanding user behavior and expectations. Operating within agile, cross-functional teams, they translate business goals into intuitive, user-centered experiences through research, strategy, and design.
Core Responsibilities:
- User Research & Validation: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability tests) to inform and validate design decisions.
- UX Strategy & Business Alignment: Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and define UX strategies that balance user needs with business objectives.
- Journey Mapping & Personas: Create detailed user journeys and personas, identifying pain points, motivations, and emotional states.
- Information Architecture & Flows: Design intuitive navigation and interaction patterns through comprehensive IA and user flows.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Develop low-to-mid fidelity wireframes and prototypes using Figma, laying the foundation for high-fidelity UI design.
- Tool Proficiency: Expert in Figma and AI-enhanced tools for ideation, synthesis, and iteration.
- Accessibility & Standards: Ensure inclusive design practices and maintain consistency across deliverables.
Key Deliverables:
- Actionable Research Reports with insights and recommendations.
- Complete Information Architecture & User Flows documentation.
- Wireframes & Prototypes illustrating interface and functionality.
- Design Documentation for consistency and accessibility.
