We need a Back-End Engineer who loves that kind of chaos. Someone who can move fast, debug faster, and build systems that don’t flinch when things get messy.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and evolve core back-end systems using Python and PostgreSQL
  • Own APIs that power key product flows, and shape how they evolve
  • Work side-by-side with front-end engineers and designers to iterate fast and ship UI-driven features
  • Write tests, monitor performance, and keep production systems rock-solid
  • Participate in architecture discussions and raise the bar for system design
  • Own production issues end-to-end: investigate, fix, and follow through
  • Ideate, iterate, and debug live with the team; even if it’s 9PM on a Friday


Who You Are

  • 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating back-end systems in production at scale
  • Expert in Python (or a similar OOP language), with strong proficiency in PostgreSQL
  • Proven track record in API design and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML — building classifiers, training models, and applying machine learning techniques in production
  • Founder-speed mindset: you put in the effort it takes to win
  • You understand that back-end decisions shape front-end experiences — and vice versa
  • You prefer to work closely with people: designers, front-end devs, product
  • You communicate clearly, give direct feedback, and take ownership
  • You don’t measure success by tickets closed, but by what actually gets shipped and works
  • Bonus: fintech experience or experience in another industry where some features just can’t start failing randomly, this is not a gym planning app.
