We are looking for a Security Architect who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in Brussels, Belgium.

Eligibility:
- Candidate must have resided in Portugal for at least the past 5 years.
- Portuguese citizenship is mandatory.
- Candidate must be prepared to obtain EU or NATO security clearance upon accepting the job offer (with Hexa coordination).
Key Responsibilities:
The Security Architect will contribute to developing secure frameworks for the NATO C2 air and missile defense platform. Depending on your seniority, you will engage in tasks such as:
Junior Level
- Support vulnerability assessments using tools like Nessus or OpenVAS.
- Assist in security design, documentation of architectures, policies, and controls.
- Participate in compliance audits, risk register management, and threat modeling.
- Contribute to gathering security requirements and integration planning.
- Help with initial security scans and documentation in dev environments.
- Collaborate on embedding security at early stages of the development lifecycle.
Mid-Level (Building on Junior)
- Design secure architectures with zero-trust models, encryption, and access control.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for C2 systems.
- Implement and configure tools for data protection and monitoring.
- Collaborate on integration testing and remediation workflows in CI/CD pipelines.
- Facilitate architecture reviews and security compliance with NATO partners.
- Develop KPIs and metrics to evaluate system-wide security posture.
Senior Level (Building on Mid)
- Lead overarching security strategy for multinational defense platforms.
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, NATO and DoD standards.
- Oversee penetration testing, incident response planning, and governance.
- Integrate IAM, endpoint protection, encryption, and advanced defense measures.
- Mentor teams in cutting-edge security practices (e.g. AI-driven threat detection).
- Drive strategic security planning and guide compliance across the SDLC.
Required Qualifications:
Education (All Levels)
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Junior Level
- 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar entry-level certification.
Mid-Level
- 5 years in defense or enterprise-level security.
- CISSP or CISM certification.
Senior Level
- 7+ years of experience in security architecture and operations.
- Advanced certifications such as CCSP, CISSP-ISSAP, or similar.
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity (preferred).
Nice to Have (All Levels)
- Background in financial services, healthcare, or critical infrastructure security.
- GIAC, OSCP, or similar hands-on security certifications.
- Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Qualys, or enterprise SIEM systems.
- Interest or experience in quantum-resistant cryptography or blockchain.
- Multilingual abilities (French, German, etc.) for cross-border collaboration.
