The
Tech Partnerships team is the direct link between trivago and our advertisers. We work closely with OTAs, hotel chains, wholesalers, and independent hotels to optimize and run efficient marketing campaigns on our platform, helping millions of users find their ideal get-away. As a
Data Analyst in this domain, you'll be at the intersection of several teams and will contribute to business initiatives with the highest strategic importance for our partners. Focusing on price accuracy, you'll contribute to ensuring that the prices advertisers provide on trivago are correct and bookable. How you’ll make an impact:
- Collect and translate business problems into data requirements. You'll work closely with various teams to find, define, and validate business opportunities to steer our strategic roadmap
- Monitor data regularly to spot trends and find anomalies that will lead to increased business value
- Proactively keep the team and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds informed to ensure a high level of transparency and clear outcomes
- Provide analytical consultation on technical infrastructure tests – from test set up, monitoring and issue spotting and investigation, to test evaluation and final recommendation
- Analyze given datasets and share insights and visualizations with stakeholders
What you'll need to thrive:
- Proven minimum 4 years' work experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with focus on statistics, data exploration, and visualization
- Analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions from significant amounts of data using your keen eye for detail
- Ability to prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and be comfortable with ambiguity
- Good knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language, preferably Python
- Proactive communication skills for dealing with non-technical stakeholders in a clear and straightforward way
- Experience with BigQuery
Stand out with:
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop
- Being comfortable with dashboarding tools such as Looker
- Experience with ETL workflow tools like Oozie, Airflow
