Our client, a leading design agency, is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Visual Designer for an ongoing freelance engagement. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Creative Director to concept, design, and execute high-impact visual experiences across a range of digital products and campaigns. You’ll play a central role in design sprints, help guide the creative team, and bring thoughtful, refined design solutions to life. This position requires strong communication skills, as you’ll work cross-functionally with strategists, motion designers, and developers — and engage directly with clients to present and evolve creative work.
This is a remote role working any US time zone and will be a full-time contract through mid-December 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop and refine visual concepts across digital, brand, and campaign initiatives
- Create polished, user-centered interface designs and component systems with a strong understanding of design hierarchy, layout, and interaction
- Contribute to and lead portions of design sprints, helping drive alignment and creative excellence throughout the process
- Translate complex ideas into elegant visual executions that work across platforms, operating systems, and device types
- Present design work clearly and confidently to clients and internal teams, incorporating feedback into iterative improvements
- Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary partners — from copy and strategy to motion and development — to ensure design intent carries through production
- Leverage and extend existing design systems while identifying thoughtful opportunities for enhancement
- Prototype and test design solutions to validate ideas and refine user interactions
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional experience in visual or UI design, ideally within an agency or multidisciplinary creative environment
- Advanced expertise in UI design and Figma (power user level)
- Strong understanding of advertising and marketing creative across digital surfaces and media channels
- Prototyping experience using modern tools and workflows (e.g., Figma, Principle, After Effects, or similar)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly to both clients and team members
- Proven ability to collaborate across creative, strategy, and production disciplines
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, or related field preferred
