Service Transition Specialist – Long-Term Contract (12–18 months) | Gothenburg | Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

We’re supporting a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry in their search for an experienced Service Transition Specialist to join their IT function in Gothenburg. This is a long-term assignment (12–18 months) offering a unique opportunity to work in a complex, high-impact environment where IT directly supports innovation in healthcare.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end transition of new or enhanced IT services into live operation
- Ensure service readiness, compliance (including GxP, SoX, Privacy), and operational stability post go-live
- Coordinate closely with project delivery, operations, and business stakeholders to minimize disruption to business users.
- Validate that support models, escalation paths, and monitoring systems are in place and ready before service launch.
- Oversee the creation of support documentation, user guides, and ensure training for Service Desk and technical teams.
- Act as a central liaison across IT, business functions, and vendors — driving clear communication and timely delivery.
- Support ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- 5–6 years’ experience in Service Transition, Service Management, or IT Project Delivery
- Strong knowledge of ITIL-based processes and hands-on involvement with ServiceNow, JIRA, or Confluence.
- Proven experience as a Service Support / Service Manager / Service Transition Project Manager in a regulated or complex environment (pharma, medtech, or manufacturing preferred
- ITIL v4 certification is highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- An analytical, structured, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluent English; other European languages an advantage.
