Job Overview

A global financial data and technology firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead initiatives that support the advancement of key development and business growth efforts. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close collaboration with executive stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams. Ideal candidates will be adept at driving results through structured project management and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

The individual in this role will oversee multiple software development efforts and manage the broader initiative portfolio across the organization. Flexibility, adaptability, and an ability to thrive in dynamic settings are essential, as projects often evolve rapidly in response to market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and team allocations.
  • Track progress against goals and ensure project alignment with strategic outcomes.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, roadblocks, dependencies, and scope changes.
  • Facilitate meetings, working sessions, stakeholder briefings, and reporting activities.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, current, and aligned with delivery standards.
  • Communicate regularly with senior stakeholders to report key milestones and issues.
  • Champion delivery excellence and adherence to internal governance frameworks.
  • Cultivate a strong team environment and support junior colleagues where applicable.
  • Manage handoffs, post-implementation reviews, and lessons learned at project closure.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, technology, or engineering.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience leading cross-functional projects or programs, ideally within the financial services or capital markets domain.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with collaboration platforms like Jira or Confluence.
  • Familiarity with financial instruments and market data, including fixed income, equities, and index products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven self-starter with a track record of independent execution and ownership.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum credentials are a plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
    • $140,000 to $170,000 + 30% Bonus
    • 10K Lump Sum Relocation Available
