Position Description:
Seeking a BIM Manager to lead a fully Revit-based practice. The successful candidate will drive innovation and efficiency by managing Revit workflows, collaborating with graphics and visualization teams, creating and maintaining office and client standards, developing templates, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with vendors and third parties. This role also includes leadership in advancing technology to keep the firm ahead of competitors. As part of the architectural team, the candidate will contribute to project work alongside management responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, enforcement, and maintenance of corporate Revit standards and standardized content (families, title blocks, templates, etc.)
- Provide expert-level technical support for all Revit applications and workflows
- Develop and maintain standards for integration between Revit and other software used within the office, including visualization and graphics tools
- Automate processes using Dynamo and Python
- Explore and implement AI, machine learning, and digital twin technologies
- Deliver high-level Revit production support to internal project teams
- Support plotting, digital submissions, and model coordination
- Coordinate project standards and workflows with clients and consultants
- Provide training and mentorship to in-house Revit users, fostering collaboration with graphics and visualization teams
- Customize Revit applications and tools to optimize performance and usability
- Evaluate emerging technologies and prepare written recommendations for future adoption
- Interface with software vendors and third-party providers, contributing to budgeting and procurement of Revit-related technologies
- Develop training budgets and scopes for ongoing staff development
- Manage and maintain a centralized Revit detail library and ensure efficient retrieval for projects
- Communicate with leadership regarding implementation of new graphic and modeling technologies
- Provide strategic leadership and vision to advance the firm’s Revit capabilities and maintain a competitive edge
- Assist in evaluating and hiring qualified Revit operators and designers
Desired Skills, Education, and Experience
- 4–5-year degree in Architecture
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant, progressively responsible positions
- 3 - 5 years of experience with BIM in a professional environment, preferably in an A/E firm
- Ability to create and maintain established company format standards for BIM applications
- Dynamic self-starter with and ability to lead a team of professionals
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation/training skills are a must
- Autodesk Certification is a plus
The BIM Manager must have functional mastery of all aspects of the following applications:
- REVIT
- Bluebeam
- Autodesk Cloud
- CAD
Must have functional familiarity with most aspects of the following applications:
- Modeling and rendering software (Lumion, Enscape, Fuzor)
- SketchUp
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Microsoft Windows Network environment
