About the Role
We are partnering with a high-growth, tier-1 VC backed AI startup seeking a Founding Engineer to help build and scale their AI agent platform. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with the founding team to design, implement, and own core systems that power AI-driven workflows. You’ll be building end-to-end solutions, from back-end agent orchestration to front-end interfaces, ensuring the platform is robust, reliable, and intuitive for users. You will also play a key role in shaping engineering culture, setting technical standards, and iterating quickly on new ideas in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of core agent systems: orchestration, planning, memory, and evaluation.
- Integrate and optimize large language models (GPT, Claude, LLaMA, etc.) for AI-driven workflows.
- Build front-end components to deliver intuitive, responsive interfaces for internal and external users.
- Architect solutions for reliability, scalability, and rapid iteration in production systems.
- Collaborate directly with founders to set product direction and engineering standards.
Ideal Candidate
- 4+ years in full-stack software engineering with end-to-end system experience.
- Previous experience at a reputable, high-growth or VC-backed startup.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI integration.
- Strong skills in Python, React/Next.js, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, etc.).
- Product-focused and enjoys building polished user-facing experiences.
