Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Management:
- Partner with local management and Corporate HR to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee the monthly payroll process in coordination with finance and external vendors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, addressing grievances and mediating conflicts effectively.
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication and integration between expatriate and local employees.
- Provide comprehensive support to expatriate employees, including relocation, local onboarding, and cultural integration programs.
- Promote the understanding of corporate culture and values among the local workforce through targeted onboarding, training, and engagement activities.
- Develop and monitor training programs to address skill gaps and support career development.
- Implement and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and clarity of goals.
- Maintain and optimize the compensation and benefits structure to ensure market competitiveness.
- Ensure full legal compliance in all aspects of human resource management according to Hungarian labor law.
- Prepare and manage the HR & Administration annual budget and forecasts.
- Report key HR metrics to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee workplace Health & Safety (H&S) and manage immigration-related matters for employees.
Office Administration & Procurement:
- Develop and maintain efficient administrative processes and procedures for the Budapest office.
- Manage all office administrative tasks, including:
- Purchase Order (PO) processing, vendor creation, and contract management.
- Coordination of business travel and fleet management.
- Management of courier services, facility management (via vendors), and office supplies (IT equipment, stationary, etc.).
- Processing of invoices and management of fixed assets.
- Ensure a smooth, professional, and well-supported office environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Mandatory Requirements:
- University or College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Native / Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. This is a mandatory requirement for daily communication with Corporate Headquarters and processing of official documents.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a similar HR Generalist role, with proven experience in office administration management.
- Demonstrated experience working in a multicultural environment, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience within a Sino-foreign joint venture or a Chinese multinational corporation.
- In-depth knowledge of Hungarian labor law and HR best practices.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
