At Exness, we are not just a leading trading broker—we’ve reimagined what it takes to be a leader. With 40M+ trades a day and 2,000+ people across 13 countries, we combine scale, care, and real tech to make trading better for 1M+ clients worldwide.
Recognised globally as a Best Place to Work, we’re a people-first company where long-term wins always matter more. As part of our team, you will shape the future of fintech with real technology, care, and purpose.
Why this role matters
As a
QA Engineer within our Scrum Team, you will closely collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and other team members to ensure the highest product quality throughout each sprint. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining and extending the automated test suite, stabilising the testing environment, and proactively identifying and managing quality risks. You will translate test results into clear, data-driven insights, helping the team make informed decisions and deliver reliable product increments.
The role is based in our Limassol office, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.
What you'll actually do
- During refinement and sprint‑planning meetings, define scope, test approach, and acceptance criteria ahead of development, ensuring estimates include both manual and automated work.
- Prepare and configure test environments (data, mocks, feature flags) and then execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests; log actionable defects with clear steps to reproduce.
- Design, implement, and maintain UI, API, e2e, and integration tests in the shared Python + Playwright framework, adhering to test‑design techniques (equivalence classes, boundary values).
- Maintaining effective test suites.
- Act as an active contributor to the automation framework: add new modules (reporting plug‑ins, service mocks), refactor legacy code for scalability, review flaky tests and drive improvements in stability and coverage, ensuring the framework remains reliable, efficient, and valuable for the whole team.
- Integrate automated checks into GitLab CI; monitor pipelines, analyse failures quickly, and collaborate with DevOps to keep feedback loops short.
- Participate in production deployments, run post-deploy checks, verify key user journeys with real data, and provide go/no-go feedback.
- Report daily on manual and automated results, highlighting blockers, risks, and preventive actions.
- Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, designers, and product owners to align on quality goals.
- Present test findings during grooming and demo sessions.
- Mentor teammates in quality engineering and uphold quality standards across the SDLC.
- Support cross-team testing and lead integration testing when required.
Who We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in backend and frontend applications testing.
- Strong knowledge of the testing process, methodologies, approaches, and test design techniques.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Understanding of REST API and web services technologies.
- Experience with API testing (Postman, Charles, etc.).
- Experience in automation with Python (Pytest, Playwright).
- Practical experience in performance testing (e.g., using Locust) will be a plus.
- Experience with Allure and CI systems such as GitLab.
- Experience with Docker (Kubernetes), k9s/argo.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in cross-functional setups.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment.
- English proficiency: B2 level or higher.
