Senior Azure Platform Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Azure Platform Engineers to design, implement, and manage robust, secure, and scalable Azure network environments. The ideal candidates will have deep expertise in Azure networking, automation, and security, with a strong ability to collaborate across architecture, DevOps, and security teams.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (onsite)

Relocation: Open to qualified candidates interested in relocating to the UAE

Contract Duration: 12-month extendable

Key Responsibilites:

• Azure Network Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and hybrid connectivity (VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute).
• Hybrid Networking: Integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
• Security Implementation: Configure and manage Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), DDoS Protection, and private endpoints following Zero Trust principles.
• Network Automation: Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using PowerShell, BiCEP, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
• Application Delivery: Implement and optimize Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Front Door services.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Utilize Azure Network Watcher, Log Analytics, and Traffic Manager to monitor, analyze, and enhance performance.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure network configurations meet organizational and industry compliance standards.
• DevOps Integration: Embed network and policy checks into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Qualifications:

• At least 6–8 years of professional experience in cloud networking and Azure platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and IPsec.
• Hands-on experience with Azure networking services (VNets, DNS, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Application Gateway).
• Deep understanding of Azure security frameworks (NSGs, Azure Firewall, Zero Trust, DDoS Protection).
• Proficiency in PowerShell, BiCEP, Azure CLI, and/or Terraform for network automation.
• Experience managing hybrid network environments.
• Familiarity with Azure Network Watcher, Log Analytics, and Traffic Manager.
• Azure certifications are highly desirable.
