The opportunity
As the Lead Network Engineer cum Global NetOps APAC Deputy, you will play a pivotal role in the operational performance, stability, and scalability of Kering's network infrastructure, with a primary focus on the APAC region. The role is a senior engineer/deputy role, to support our
- Global Network Operations Manager in enforcing corporate governance and, standard across region, and lead the tech innovation, optimisation, including incident, problem and change.
- APAC Network Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring the highest levels of service continuity and performance.

How you will contribute
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Project Delivery
- Monitor, run and optimize SD-WAN (Fortinet), LAN, Wi-Fi (Cisco/Meraki), and cloud-integrated networks for stores, logistics sites, Offices and events.
- Spearhead APAC-level projects: new store openings, store and site relocation, partner sites integrations (e.g. call centre), and time-sensitive retail initiatives.
- Act as a key escalation point for Global major network incidents and lead resolution efforts, ensuring all issues are resolved within SLA.
- Support the implementation of network projects, upgrades, and changes, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Maintain rigorous documentation (network standards, configurations, inventories).
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in IT infrastructure, exploring opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
Operational Governance & Compliance
- Own network SLA/KPI adherence, change management, and incident response.
- Oversee daily network operations, including incident response, problem management, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize strong vendor management skills to ensure the delivery of excellent network services.
- Coordinate with regional and global teams to ensure consistent service levels and alignment with corporate standards.
- Support the preparation of reports and dashboards for management review.
Business Partnership & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary stakeholder contact for brands (e.g., Gucci, Saint Laurent), providing proactive updates and support.
- Work closely with vendors and service providers to manage SLAs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure service delivery.
- Participate in meetings with regional teams to share updates on business needs and challenges, ensuring a smooth flow of information.
- Coordinate on-site support with Global Helpdesk teams and third parties.
Who You Are
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a senior or deputy leadership role.
- Experience with SD-WAN rollouts (Fortinet/Meraki), preferably in a retail or B2C environment.
- Proven success in complex, deadline-driven deployments (e.g., flagship store launches).
Technical Mastery
- CCNA and ITIL certification preferred with CCNP as a plus.
- Expertise in MPLS, BGP, Fortinet SD-WAN, Cisco/Meraki LAN/Wi-Fi, and AWS networking.
- Knowledge of monitoring and incident management tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, Infoblox, Nagios, ServiceNow).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Operational Rigor
- A proven track record in tech innovations and operations ownership with excellent vendor management.
- Skilled in SLA governance and risk mitigation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain focus and quality of work during stressful, time-sensitive, or challenging situations.
