Overview
The IT Specialist supports Brighton Resort’s technology infrastructure and ensures seamless technology operations for employees and guests. This hands-on role provides desktop and network support, assists with system administration, and helps maintain the resort’s IT and communication systems across mountain and base areas. The ideal candidate is a reliable problem-solver with strong customer service skills who enjoys working in an active mountain environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide desktop PC support to Brighton Resort employees and customers.
- Good communication and guest service skills with both technical and business team members.
- Assist with administering and maintaining production servers and enterprise applications that support Brighton Resort’s operations.
- Install and/or replacing network devices such as switches, wireless access points, wireless bridges, webcams, printers, phones, etc.
- Maintain network cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor). Repair or replace defective wiring. Install wiring to support renovation, relocation, or new construction. Terminate wiring.
- Maintain stocks of consumable supplies.
- May be assigned additional tasks.
Qualifications
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Knowledge of CAT5 and above cabling, T568B wiring standard, and cable count color codes a plus.
- Ability to use basic hand tools is required.
- Ability to use logic, vendor support, reference manuals, Internet resources, and documentation to solve problems is required.
- Ski industry and/or related IT work experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for company insurance purposes.
- Ability to ski or snowboard at or above the beginner level to perform on-mountain tasks.
Extent Of Public Contact
This job requires extensive, daily contact with both the public, Brighton Resort guests and Brighton Resort employees. Customer service is a key element of the job and adherence to Brighton Resort’s service values is mandatory. For the most part, Brighton Resort employees are the IT department’s customers.

Working Conditions And Environment
- Weekend work schedule required.
- Night work schedule may be required.
- The successful applicant will be required to carry a cellular phone and to be on call.
- Working environment can include dirty, dusty, damp, dark, hot and cold conditions.
- Appropriate equipment will be provided for hazardous conditions.
