Position Overview
PlaySide Studios are seeking a Data Analyst to join our data analytics and insights team in our Mobile division. This role focuses on interpreting and analysing our game data to develop and deliver insightful reports for our game teams.

The role is split into three key areas:
- Data Collection & Management - Understanding data architecture structures along with working with engineers to ensure appropriate data points and events are sent to our data lake.
- Reporting & Visualisation - Creating dashboards and reports for leadership, internal teams, and game-specific requirements
- Data Analysis & Insights - Using the data to help answer questions around player behavior and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update interactive dashboards with cloud-based tools.
- Querying and manipulating data in SQL.
- Provide insights to decision making stakeholders using dashboards and deep dive analysis, including making recommendations for improvement against key KPIs.
- Ensure data is correct and timely.
- Build partnerships within the company, sharing the tools and insights that improve our products.
- Run A/B tests and document outcomes including recommendations.
- Providing standardised reporting on metrics of live service games.
- Recommend improvements for analytic processes and tools.
- Testing of changes to game data schemas.
What You Bring to The Table:
- Proficiency in writing and modifying SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
- Skilled in validating and correcting data sources to ensure data integrity and reliability for decision-making.
- Experience with data mapping, ensuring seamless integration between different data systems and applications.
- Foundational knowledge of metrics-driven decision-making, understanding key performance indicators (KPIs) and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of mathematics and statistical techniques applied to data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency with Python, R, or similar programming languages for performing ETL operations and data manipulations.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud) to enhance data processing and management capabilities.
- Experience using Atlassian workflow management tools (JIRA, Confluence) to support project management and team collaboration.
