Mobile Engineer– Shaping the Future of PropTech! 📱
Location: Latin America Remote
We're TeamStation AI, and we're partnered with a fast-growing, innovative SaaS company that’s fundamentally changing how property operations are managed. Think real-estate operations, but streamlined, automated, and finally working in the 21st century. We’re not looking for a coder; we’re looking for a Mobile Engineer who can architect, mentor, and set the technical direction for a mission-critical mobile platform. This is about making a tangible impact on an entire industry, not just moving pixels.
What You’ll Do: The Challenge
You'll be the technical backbone for our partner's flagship mobile application, guiding it through its next phase of growth and scalability.
- Decouple the Complexity: Partner closely with Product and Design to translate complex business needs into clean, maintainable, and scalable code (primarily TypeScript) that plays nice with RESTful APIs.
- Own the Performance Budget: Obsess over application quality, performance, and cross-device consistency, making sure our mobile experience is rock-solid and responsive, even when connecting over what passes for Wi-Fi in some places.
- Guide the Roadmap: Actively participate in high-level architectural decisions, helping to define the long-term vision and technology choices for both mobile and web platforms.
🛠️ Tech Stack & Tools: Our Playground
We expect you to be fluent in the tools of the trade. Here's what you'll be getting your hands on, often simultaneously:
- Core Mobile Framework: React Native
- Primary Languages: JavaScript a strong preference TypeScript
- Liobrary: React
- Version Control & Flow:Gitand modern CI/CD pipelines
- State Management: Common patterns, ideally includingReduxor similar
- Testing & Quality:Jest,Cypress, or other test automation frameworks
- APIs: Consuming and designing RESTful APIs
📌 Requirements: What You Must Bring
Trust me, we've all been down the rabbit hole of hiring based on a laundry list of requirements. Here's the short, punchy version of what you actually need to have to succeed.
- Experience & Focus: 5+ years of experience in software development (React, Typescript), with at least 3+ years specifically delivering production-ready mobile applications using React Native.
- Technical Authority: Demonstrated expertise in mobile and web app lifecycles, asynchronous data handling, and the dark arts of performance optimization.
- Language Mastery: Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. You don't just use them; you master them.
- Process Acumen: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, Git-based workflows, and how to shepherd code through a modern CI/CD pipeline without causing a meltdown.
- Communication: Fluent in English—you need to be able to articulate complex technical decisions clearly and collaborate effectively across a distributed team.
💡 Nice-to-Have: Bonus Points!
This is where the genuinely interesting candidates distinguish themselves. If you've got any of the below, you're already ahead of the game.
- Experience in a heavily regulated industry like FinTech or Real Estate Technology (PropTech).
- Prior experience in a full-stack capacity, ideally with Node.js or a similar backend technology.
- A track record of open-source contributions or maintaining a well-regarded side project—it shows initiative, and we like that.
- The ability to explain a complex technical concept—like the difference between an optimistic update and a fully synchronous one—to your non-technical Product Manager. (Your grandma will be proud.)
🎯 What’s in It for You?
We’re serious about building a great company with great people. We won’t lowball you, and we won’t waste your time.
