About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer with strong experience in ASP.NET (VB.NET), C#, and .NET 6.0 to join our growing team. This role involves developing secure, high-performance web applications and APIs within a collaborative, agile environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and confident working across teams to deliver scalable solutions in finance or healthcare-related systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET (VB.NET), C#, and .NET 6.0 / Blazor.
- Implement, consume, and document RESTful APIs for internal and external system integration.
- Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries.
- Work with Entity Framework 6 (EF6) for data access and ORM.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security in all developed solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through refactoring, testing, and automation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in .NET web development.
- Proficiency in ASP.NET (VB.NET), C#, and SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework 6 (EF6).
- Exposure to Blazor and .NET 6.0 is a plus.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON-based data exchange.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end concepts.
- Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Understanding of DevOps / CI/CD principles and automated testing practices (preferred).
- Awareness of security best practices, especially around healthcare or financial data.
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of healthcare or financial workflows is a strong advantage.
- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
