Ruby on Rails Developer in PORTUGAL

TechRivo is a software consulting company based in Portugal, with customers in Europe and Australia, working on projects ranging from Fintech to Education.

We have an open Ruby on Rails Developer, and we invite you to apply.

Must-Have:

• Solid understanding of how data networks, protocols, and routing work
• Good grasp of relational databases (at least basic knowledge of normalization up to 3NF)
• Proven experience building complex applications with Ruby on Rails, including:

-Full-stack development (Slim, JavaScript, Stimulus, Hotwire)

-Background job processing (ActiveJob, Sidekiq, etc.)

-Designing and implementing APIs

-Working with asynchronous services and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)

-Experience with both unit and functional testing

• Confident use of version control systems (branches, pull requests, blame, etc.)
• Experience deploying applications in virtualized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Comfortable working in a Unix command line environment (bash)
• Fluent in Russian

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React
• Experience with Java

Other/Soft Skills:

• You must have full-time availability
• You must be a Team Player
• You should speak/write English at a professional level
• You should be keen on doing video calls

We are a 100% remote team.

This position is for a minimum of 6 Months of contractor work. However, other contractual options are available.
