The Opportunity
Join a small but growing HR & People Programs team dedicated to building an inclusive, high-performing, and purpose-driven organization. We’re looking for a creative HR professional with generalist and business partner experience who can think strategically and act practically — someone who thrives in virtual, fast-paced, evolving environments and brings fresh, human-centered approaches.

This is a full time, remote position and can work from anywhere in the US. As a remote, people-first culture, we care deeply about our team members’ connections to one another and as such, travel 3-4 times per year to company events will be required. The position reports to the Managing Director, HR and People Programs.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
As a People Partner, you’ll be the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters for designated departments, providing strategic and tactical HR support across the employee experience. You’ll balance being a thought partner with get-it-done execution, ensuring our people programs align with business needs while upholding our values and fostering an exceptional employee experience. You’ll coach managers, guide performance, support recruitment, ensure seamless onboarding and ofboarding, and help shape the culture that makes this organization thrive. The ideal candidate can think creatively, dive deep into business context, and implement balanced, people-first programs that meet our organizational goals while managing risk. You’re a systems thinker who leverages technology, thrives in growth environments, and leads with empathy and purpose.

What You’ll Do
• Serve as the main HR point of contact for assigned teams, providing comprehensive support on HR areas (except for benefits and payroll - we have a team member managing this!).
• Lead HR processes for your assigned teams including performance, promotions, employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, and training and development.
• Play a key role in implementing new HR initiatives, including a new performance and culture system and supporting change management and adoption.
• Partner with managers to anticipate people needs and design creative, risk-balanced solutions for organizational growth, succession planning, and employee communications.
• Use HR data and analytics to identify trends, improve retention, and increase engagement and belonging.
• Reinforce organizational values through participation in key culture initiatives (e.g., Culture & Connection Council, in-person team offsites).
• Collaborate cross-functionally on HR projects and organizational development initiatives.
• Support inclusion and belonging efforts across teams and programs.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally as a generalist or HR business partner
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in financial services, foundations, or investment sectors preferred
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and performance management
  • Experience working in a virtual working environment with muti-state employees.
  • Strong employee relations, coaching, and communication skills
  • Experience using HR systems (e.g., ADP, Pinpoint ATS, ParadigmReach LMS)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams required
  • Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools Box and Asana preferred
