IDR is seeking a NOC Technician to join one of our top clients in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless network operations by monitoring and addressing potential technical issues before they impact daily operations. This is a remote role that will require you to work 5am - 12pm EST!
Position Overview/Responsibilities for the NOC Technician:
- Monitor network operations dashboards to proactively identify and report issues to the managed service provider.
- Work remotely, Monday through Friday, from 5 AM to 12 PM Eastern Time.
- Engage with the client's network solutions to ensure smooth operations from store opening to midday.
- Collaborate with the managed service provider to address and resolve network issues efficiently.
- This is a long-term contract position, expected to last at least a year.
Required Skills for NOC Technician:
- Basic understanding of Ethernet switching and wireless networking.
- Ability to follow established processes for issue notification and escalation.
- Experience with network monitoring dashboards.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address network issues.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
