Role Description:

This is a permanent role for a Cloud Network Engineer in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The role of the Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing network infrastructure, monitoring and troubleshooting performance, implementing security and compliance controls, collaborating with IT teams, and developing automation processes.

Relocation expenses may be provided for the successful candidate if they are located outside of the Western Cape.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 National Certificate or Vocational
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Computer Science)

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud computing
• Experience with a variety of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, and GCP)
• Experience with DevOps practices
• Cloud-native solution design and development using APIs, containers, Kubernetes, and service mesh
• Introducing Cloud technology (start-up) in an environment; processes, principles, etc.
• Design and hands-on troubleshooting background on the AWS Platform (ideally Azure or GCP)
• Developing and supporting infrastructure and Cloud capabilities for microservices-based architectures
• Working with CI or CD tools
• Authentication and Authorization Technologies and Protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, AD, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)
• Working with scripting and provisioning tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or the equivalent
• Cloud technologies and best practices
• Networking in Public and Hybrid Cloud environments
• Network protocols, network architecture, and security
• Understanding virtualization technologies like VMWare, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Banking industry (Advantageous)
• Clear criminal and credit record
