Ciklum is looking for a Senior HR Operations Specialist to join our team full-time in USA.

About the role:
As a Senior HR Operations Specialist, USA & Canada you will act as an individual contributor, executing the HR agenda across the US and Canada. This role plays a crucial part in aligning regional HR practices with Ciklum's global strategy, ensuring legal compliance, and delivering best-in-class support to employees and managers. The role requires a hands-on approach, strategic mindset, and strong knowledge of local labor and immigration regulations.
Responsibilities:
HR Partnership
- Act as the main HR point of contact for business leaders and employees in the region
- Drive and execute HR processes and initiatives in line with global HR strategy and local business needs
- Provide expert guidance on complex HR issues including organizational changes, workforce planning, and talent development
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, performance management, development, engagement, retention, and exit processes
- Ensure smooth onboarding and cultural integration of new hires
- Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with employees to identify potential attrition risks early and take timely action to address concerns and improve retention
- Handle offboarding and exit interviews, providing insights to improve employee experience
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Advise managers on employee relations matters, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policies and local laws
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial employment legislation in both the US and Canada
- Keep up to date with labor law changes and ensure policies are updated accordingly
Immigration & Mobility
- Facilitate all immigration cases in the USA and Canada
- Provide hands-on support for visa sponsorships (e.g., H-1B, TN, L-1), green card applications, work permits, and relocations
- Liaise with legal counsel, external vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant case management
- Act as the regional expert on immigration and cross-border employment matters, proactively tracking legislative changes
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
- Support salary review processes, including benchmarking and market analysis in coordination with Global HR and Finance
- Collaborate with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution
- Manage local benefits programs and recommend improvements based on employee feedback and market practices
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Champion regional employee engagement and recognition initiatives
- Support global programs related to wellbeing, DEI, and career development, adapting them to local context as needed
HR Reporting & Data
- Maintain accurate HR records in line with data privacy laws
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision making
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role, ideally in a multinational or fast-paced environmen
- Solid hands-on experience in personnel administration and payroll processes
- Profound knowledge of U.S. and Canadian labor law and HR compliance regulations
- Proven experience supporting immigration and mobility cases (e.g., visa sponsorship, relocation, work permits)
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced user of MS Office (especially Excel and Word), Google Docs, and HRIS/HR admin systems
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; able to build trust and influence without formal authority
- Fast and effective in troubleshooting and escalation handling, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable working independently while closely collaborating with global and regional teams
