Network Engineer

We’re looking for a Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Networking team at Computacenter. As part of a skilled group of professionals supporting diverse environments, you’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network solutions that keep our customers connected and operational.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide effective, timely resolutions.
• Implement and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, access management, and intrusion detection systems.
• Support capacity planning, performance analysis, and regular network upgrades.
• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve overall system performance.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory network policies and standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or a related IT role.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network devices.
• Knowledge of network security principles and firewall configuration.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, or Palo Alto (preferred).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
