We’re looking for a Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Networking team at Computacenter. As part of a skilled group of professionals supporting diverse environments, you’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network solutions that keep our customers connected and operational.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide effective, timely resolutions.
- Implement and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, access management, and intrusion detection systems.
- Support capacity planning, performance analysis, and regular network upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve overall system performance.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory network policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or a related IT role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network devices.
- Knowledge of network security principles and firewall configuration.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, or Palo Alto (preferred).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
