The Senior Manager, Retention Marketing Analytics will be a key leader focused on leveraging data to drive customer loyalty and increase lifetime value (LTV) through the optimization of our retention marketing channels. This role, reporting to VP, CRM & Marketing Technology, is responsible for ensuring the health and effectiveness of our customer files and campaigns across email, SMS, Push, and Direct Mail. The ideal candidate is an expert in channel-specific analytics, with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies that enhance campaign performance and improve customer engagement. You will be the primary owner of the analytics roadmap for all retention initiatives, providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

A day in the life as Senior Manager, Retention Marketing Analytics…
- Lead the campaign and channel effectiveness analysis for all retention marketing channels (email, SMS, Push, direct mail), focusing on key metrics like deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and conversion.
- Monitor and analyze the health of customer files, identifying and addressing issues such as list decay, bounce rates, and unsubscribe trends across all channels.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve list hygiene and ensure audience quality for targeted marketing efforts.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand the drivers of campaign performance, leveraging A/B tests and other experimental designs to optimize creative, cadence, and segmentation.
- Build and maintain detailed dashboards to track the performance of each channel and present a holistic view of our retention efforts.
- Collaborate with channel managers to optimize campaign strategies based on performance data, including audience segmentation, personalization, and content recommendations.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on budget allocation across different retention channels, grounded in performance data and ROI.
- Partner with data engineering and Technology teams to ensure data pipelines and integrations are robust, accurate, and provide a single source of truth for retention marketing data.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer LTV by improving the user journey through coordinated messaging across all retention channels.
- Mentor and guide analysts, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
- Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Serve as the primary analytics expert for retention marketing, providing thought leadership on emerging trends and technologies.
What you’ll bring to the table…
- Demonstrated experience in list health management and campaign effectiveness analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Expertise in data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Solid understanding of marketing automation platforms and CRM systems is required.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate data into a compelling narrative for a wide range of stakeholders.

- 5+ years of experience in a retention marketing analytics or similar data-focused role, with a strong emphasis on email, SMS, Push, and/or direct mail.
Minimum Starting Rate: $160,000.00 Annually
Up to: $180,000.00 Annually
Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
