About the Role
The Boeing Company is seeking a skilled Back-End Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to join our Model-Based Engineering Software (MBSE) team located in Berkeley, Missouri. This role is integral to supporting Boeing Defense Services (BDS) and involves developing innovative prototypes and capabilities for web applications and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing APIs, creating data processing pipelines, optimizing SQL queries, and building scalable, production-ready infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex, large-scale systems that support critical defense and aerospace projects. The role may evolve into a full-stack position, allowing candidates to explore frontend development if desired. Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in backend software development and proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python, and SQL. The ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance is mandatory. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields is preferred, with additional years of relevant experience considered in lieu of formal education. Desired skills include experience with database management, microservices architecture, cloud platforms like AWS, and modern development tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently or within a team are essential.
