About The Role
Morisset Hospital provides extended care Mental Health Rehabilitation to consumers under the Mental Health Act and the Mental Health and Cognitive Impairment Forensic Provisions Act 2020, with a strong focus on developing skills and building resilience.
As a Security Officer within our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
There are three key Security roles at Morisset Hospital - Surveillance, Grounds Security, and Health and Security Assistant. Under the direction of Nurse Management, you’ll assist with patient care, transfers, and maintain a secure environment through proactive surveillance and incident response. You’ll also help ensure the cleanliness and safety of hospital facilities, providing emergency and restraint support when required.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we collaborate on the design phase for a new state-of-the-art facility in Maitland, with the service planned to relocate in 2027.
