Foundation is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Local SEO Manager to lead local search optimization for our portfolio of service-based business clients, including dental offices, plumbers, roofers, and similar organizations—many with multiple locations. This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients are visible, reputable, and competitive in their local markets, with particular emphasis on optimizing and managing Google Business Profiles (formerly “Google My Business”), local listings, and online reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute local SEO strategies for multiple service-based clients, each with potentially several locations
- Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles (GBP) for all client locations, ensuring accuracy and maximum visibility
- Oversee and update business information, posts, photos, and attributes for clients’ Google profiles
- Proactively monitor and respond to Google reviews, driving strategies to increase review count and ensure positive reputation management
- Collaborate with clients to implement processes for generating new reviews and improving customer feedback loops
- Conduct local citation audits; build and manage listings in reputable local directories
- Perform local keyword research and recommend/implement on-page optimizations
- Track, analyze, and report on local SEO and GBP performance using analytics and reporting tools
- Stay current on local search best practices, GBP features/updates, and local SEO algorithm changes
Support internal content teams to create localized landing pages and blog content as needed
Requirements :
- 2+ years experience managing local SEO for small/service-based businesses (multi-location a major advantage)
- Strong practical knowledge of Google Business Profile management: optimization, troubleshooting, review management, and performance tracking
- Proven track record of increasing local rankings and review counts for client businesses
- Experience overseeing multiple clients/accounts simultaneously
- Excellent written communication for posting updates and responding to customer reviews
- Competency with local SEO tools (e.g., BrightLocal, Whitespark, Moz Local, Google Search Console, Google Analytics)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage several profiles and brands at once
- Ability to work cross-functionally with client teams, designers, and content producers
- Knowledge of the unique needs and customer behavior of service-based industries is strongly preferred
- Experience working in or with digital agencies is a plus
