Senior Digital Designer in the
United States.
In this role, you will lead the design of engaging, accessible, and human-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, researchers, and stakeholders to translate complex workflows into intuitive interfaces that meet user needs, particularly for senior populations and care teams. Your work will involve shaping the design strategy, creating prototypes, conducting user research, and ensuring accessibility compliance. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior designers, influence product direction, and contribute to impactful digital solutions in a collaborative and innovative environment. The role is remote with occasional travel for training or team collaboration.
Accountabilities:
- Lead UX/UI design efforts across multiple digital products, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives
- Conduct audits, user research, usability testing, and accessibility evaluations to inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Develop design strategies, synthesizing insights from user research, analytics, and market trends
- Collaborate with product teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to generate innovative solutions
- Advocate for accessibility (WCAG compliance), inclusive design, and usability best practices
- Mentor junior designers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web and mobile platforms
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), usability heuristics, and responsive design
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present design rationale to stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile or Lean environments
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Preferred: experience in healthcare or accessibility-sensitive domains, familiarity with design systems, analytics tools, or healthcare regulations (HIPAA, EMR/EHR)
