About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Research and Development team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a flexible balance between on-site and remote work. The primary focus of this position is to translate customer and marketing requirements into robust technical solutions through full-stack software development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining software applications that support B. Braun’s healthcare products and services. This role involves working closely with testers to develop verification and validation plans, understanding cybersecurity principles, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Software Engineer will also be involved in understanding Windows server environments and encryption techniques to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality. The position provides an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to impactful healthcare solutions while working in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant industry experience is required, demonstrating a strong track record in full-stack software development and technical problem-solving. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, and SQL, along with familiarity with frameworks used in enterprise applications. Experience working within Windows server environments and understanding encryption and cybersecurity techniques is essential. The role demands excellent judgment, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. Regular and predictable attendance is expected, and occasional travel may be required to support project needs. Candidates must also agree to confidentiality, invention, and non-compete agreements as part of the employment process.
