About the Role:
As our IT Specialist, you’ll be the tech lifeline across the business. From day-to-day support to infrastructure management, you’ll ensure everything runs like a dream - smooth, secure and always online. You’ll work across all departments, keeping our systems sharp, our people supported and our platforms protected.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tech Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide hands-on technical support to the organisation's users (hardware, software and networks).
- Set up new users with appropriate credentials and access levels.
- Set up new hardware and software for employees, ensuring proper configuration and usability.
- Assist users in software installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and escalate LAN and Wi-Fi network connectivity issues.
- Communicate with third-party vendors for technical support when needed.
- Assist with the maintenance of infrastructure e.g. Video/Audio etc. throughout the office space.
- Assist with the setup and relocation of user workstations.
- Perform routine maintenance on IT infrastructure, including software and firmware updates.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including desktops, laptops, peripherals and software licenses.
- Ensure all calls/actions involved are logged in the relevant Service Desk System for reference.
- Perform general IT administrative duties and maintain organized records.
2. Security and Systems Management
- Maintain endpoint security, firewalls, antivirus and backups.
- Ensure user access aligns with the company security policies and compliance standards.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement security updates.
3. Infrastructure and Networks
- Support the configuration and maintenance of hardware.
- Manage internal network health and ensure uptime of key platforms.
- Collaborate with hosting providers or third-party vendors on infrastructure issues.
4. Growth and Scaling
- Assist with IT needs for new team members, offices or product launches.
- Recommend and implement tools that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Document internal IT processes and contribute to the knowledge base.
Experience:
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent qualification.
- 4+ years in an IT desktop support or related role.
- Strong knowledge of Office365 and Google Workspace essential.
- Knowledge of end-user computing technologies including desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
- Experience in a high-volume, always-on environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level IT infrastructure, remote support and cloud-based systems advantageous.
- Someone who loves problem-solving, stays calm under pressure and has a “figure it out” mindset.
