This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Fullstack Engineer in Europe.
In this role, you will lead the evolution of a core booking platform, shaping both frontend and backend experiences that directly impact customer satisfaction and business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to translate complex user needs into scalable, high-performing solutions. As a technical leader, you will guide architectural decisions, influence engineering practices, and mentor peers while maintaining a hands-on approach to delivering impactful features. Accountabilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of fullstack features across backend services (Node.js, PHP) and frontend experiences (React, TypeScript)
- Own end-to-end delivery of user-facing booking flows, balancing scalability, performance, and user experience
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to define problems, prioritize solutions, and enhance the user journey
- Drive architectural improvements that enhance system maintainability, developer velocity, and platform reliability
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a product-driven, customer-focused mindset across the team
- Influence engineering practices across the organization, including code quality, testing, accessibility, and performance
- Identify technical debt, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with long-term platform goals
Requirements
- 6+ years of SaaS software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a staff-level or leadership role
- Strong proficiency in either frontend or backend, with willingness to work across the stack (Node.js, PHP, React, TypeScript)
- Proven track record of building customer-facing features that drive measurable product outcomes (e.g., improved conversions, reduced friction)
- Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design to shape user flows and translate business problems into technical solutions
- Solid understanding of relational databases, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Curiosity, adaptability, and empathy for end users; a passion for solving complex problems with practical, user-focused solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (C1 or above)
