We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer with expertise in Vue.JS to join our Nisum team in Latam. The ideal candidate will work as part of a client team based in the USA, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the web experiences for a retail client. This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional user experiences while contributing to a dynamic and innovative environment.

As a Frontend Engineer you will be in charge of:

  • Develop responsive, high-performance frontend interfaces using primarily Vue.JS, among other technologies.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers and product managers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Enhance existing functionality in the app & web flows.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable and mobile-capable devices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring application stability and a high-quality user experience.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams in the USA, Pakistan and India.

To be successful at this role, we expect you to have the following experience and skills:

  • You must reside in Latam
  • Advanced English skills
  • Flexibility to work in US timezones
  • 2-6 years of professional experience in Vue.JS and microfrontend development
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and frontend development tools
  • Experience writting tests with Jest
  • Hands-on experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX)
  • Familiarity with Composition APIs and integration with backend services
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform compatibility

Preferred Skills

  • Basic Java knowledge (there are backend dependencies that have to be run locally)
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques for VueJs applications
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git and SVN
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployment
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience with tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Metro Bundler
