Overview
Tier One Technologies is looking for a Data Solutions Architect for our direct US Government client.
This is going to be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position.
Must be a US Citizen.
SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities
- Function as the primary technical architect for data warehousing projects to solve business intelligence challenges.
- Responsible for the overall design and governance of the enterprise data platform.
- Define Azure resource architecture, metadata strategy, data integration patterns, and ensure platform scalability and sustainability.
- Advise on governance best practices and supports long-term alignment with organization collaboration goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years in enterprise data architecture, including at least 5 years in designing and deploying cloud-based data platforms (preferably Azure).
- Possess deep technical expertise in database design, ETL (OWB/ODI), reporting, and analytics and previous consulting experience utilizing an agile delivery methodology.
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure architecture (Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, Purview, Key Vault).
- Experience designing metadata strategies and data governance models.
- Familiarity with tenant federation, security architecture, and role-based access models.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data lineage documentation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
- Ability to pass drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
- Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
- Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
