This is a Remote position.


We focus on creating top-quality mobile and web applications while building long-term partnerships with our clients. We are currently pooling candidates for a Node Software Engineer position to join our growing team in the future.


Job Summary:


The Node.js Developer is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining server-side applications using Node.js and related technologies. This role requires strong proficiency in JavaScript (and optionally TypeScript), a solid understanding of backend frameworks, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing web applications.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs using Node.js.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient server-side logic.
  • Integrate data storage solutions such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform unit and integration testing to maintain system stability and reliability.
  • Contribute to application architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs, modules, and workflows.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices within the Node.js ecosystem.


Requirements


Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Node.js development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming concepts.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Koa.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia) and testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar).
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) or event-driven systems.
  • Exposure to front-end technologies (React, Vue, or Angular).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
