Company Overview
Join a rapidly growing, five-year-old company with approximately 40 full-time employees and 10–40 temporary workers. We specialize in assembling medical sample collection kits and providing phlebotomy services, supporting the healthcare industry with innovative solutions.
Position Summary
We’re looking for a bilingual HR Manager (Spanish/English) who is ready to step in as the company’s first and only HR professional. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage all HR functions yourself at first — from payroll and benefits to employee relations and recruiting.
If you’re ambitious and want to accelerate your career, this is a rare opportunity: as the company grows, you’ll have the chance to build and lead the HR department over time. Our client is a small, fast-moving company that rewards initiative and offers clear potential to move up the corporate ladder as you prove yourself and expand the HR function.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Scope HR Operations: Own day-to-day HR functions including payroll, benefits coordination, employee relations, and policy administration.
- Warehouse & Workforce Support: Serve as the go-to HR contact for our primarily Spanish-speaking hourly team, ensuring clear communication and strong support.
- Recruitment & Staffing: Lead hiring for both permanent and temporary roles, including warehouse staff and phlebotomists, and manage relationships with staffing agencies.
- Office & Culture Management: Oversee general office operations, support culture-building initiatives, and coordinate events.
- Project Leadership: Drive key HR and company initiatives such as benefits renewal, office relocation, and internal service expansion.
- Leadership Partner: Work directly with company leadership, providing HR guidance and strategy as the business scales.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (mandatory).
- 2–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced, smaller company environment.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paycor, ADP) and recruiting platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; SHRM certification strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain within 12–18 months).
