QA Engineer

The Role

We’re hiring a QA Engineer to join our client’s engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring each platform release meets defined quality standards before delivery to clients.

You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and clients to plan, document, and execute test cases—ensuring that every feature works as expected across multiple environments. You’ll also perform regression tests, help engineers recreate bugs with detailed steps, and introduce automation where possible to improve efficiency and platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Plan with developers and write acceptance criteria and test plans for new feature requests
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans for regression testing across environments
• Identify, log, and track bugs in JIRA, documenting steps to reproduce, screenshots, and environment details
• Perform manual testing of new features before client delivery and ensure QA sign-off before credentials are shared
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and verify bug fixes before deployment
• Automate recurring manual tests using Postman, Selenium, or Cypress where applicable
• Review and improve existing test cases regularly to strengthen QA coverage
• Conduct API testing and validation, including authentication and response handling
• Communicate test results, risks, and quality concerns proactively before releases
• Work closely with clients when needed to replicate hard-to-reproduce bugs and ensure smooth delivery
  
  

Ideal Profile

• You have strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity for identifying edge cases
• You have experience writing and executing manual test cases
• You are familiar with API testing using Postman or similar tools
• You have a good understanding of the software development lifecycle and CI/CD workflows
• You are an excellent communicator, able to clearly document bugs and collaborate across teams
• You have experience or are eager to learn automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• You have cross-platform and multi-browser testing experience (desktop, mobile, and tablet)
• You are comfortable working in AWS-based environments
• You are proactive, quality-driven, and thrive in fast-paced startup settings
