Job Title: IT Manager – Project Manager

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role

Salary: £58,000+ dependant on experience

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering complex projects within a programme of work supporting a business improvement function
  • Overseeing the planning, execution, and closing of IT projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, timeline requirements and aligned with organizational goals
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to executive leadership and key stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to optimize project outcomes
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to quality standards and best practices in project management and IT governance
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and leverage new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Comprehensive experience in IT project management, working on complex projects with deep understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing large, cross-functional teams as part of project
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of current IT trends and technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders and managing third parties
  • Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions

The Product Fulfilment Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ever-growing Product Fulfilment team within IM&T. We are responsible for 20/21 functions that support the delivery of the submarine. This role is also unique in that the post holder will work directly with our business improvement function operational excellence to deliver a programme of work to align to their strategic goals. There will be the opportunity to work with key stakeholders in these major projects, and also the chance to to grow within the IM&T business area for the right applicant.

We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
