This client requires a Senior Data Analyst to be a strategic partner to the business. You will own complex analytical projects, translating ambiguous business questions into testable hypotheses and delivering high-impact, actionable insights. This role demands leadership, mastery of statistical techniques, and the ability to influence executive decisions related to customer churn, network investment, and product pricing.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of predictive and prescriptive models (e.g., customer churn forecasting, segmentation, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)) using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Drive strategic projects by analysing network performance data, service usage patterns, and sales performance to identify and quantify opportunities for revenue optimisation and cost reduction.
- Design and execute advanced statistical analyses, including the rigorous design and analysis of A/B tests to measure the true impact of marketing and product changes.
- Serve as the data authority for key business units, clearly communicating complex analytical findings, assumptions, and limitations to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts and stakeholders on analytical methodology, statistical rigour, and best practises in data visualisation.
- Contribute to data governance and quality initiatives, ensuring the analytical data assets are accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose.
What You'll Bring
- 6+ years of progressive professional experience as a Data Analyst or a similar role, with at least 2 years operating in a senior or lead capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex querying and manipulating large, complex datasets, with a proven ability to optimise queries for performance.
- Expertise in a statistical analysis language (Python or R) and a proven track record of building and validating robust predictive models.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical methodologies (e.g., regression analysis, hypothesis testing, time-series forecasting).
- Strong proficiency in a major BI visualisation tool (Power BI or Tableau) for executive reporting and self-service analytics.
- Experience with A/B testing design and power analysis to ensure statistically sound business decisions.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of driving change through data influence.
