About Trans ACNR
Trans ACNR is India’s leading manufacturer of advanced transport air-conditioning, transport refrigeration, and EV thermal management systems. With a dominant presence across ICE and Electric buses, trucks, railways and defense/military vehicles, Trans ACNR is at the forefront of engineering sustainable and high-performance climate control solutions for the mobility of tomorrow.
We are expanding rapidly into intelligent, connected, and electric cooling systems—and we’re looking for passionate Embedded Software Engineers who can write the code that drives the next generation of automotive climate control and EV thermal systems.
Role OverviewAs an Embedded Software Engineer at Trans ACNR, you will be responsible for the complete software lifecycle—from architecture, design, coding, and testing to validation—of embedded systems used in automotive and EV applications. You’ll collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and control systems teams to build reliable, high-performance software that runs in some of the toughest environments on the road.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test embedded software for automotive ECUs and control systems (e.g. HVAC controllers, compressor controllers, thermal management units).
- Work on microcontrollers (ARM, NXP, STMicro, Renesas, etc.) and RTOS-based systems.
- Develop drivers, middleware, and application-layer logic for CAN, LIN, SPI, I²C, PWM, ADC, etc.
- Integrate control algorithms for air-conditioning and battery-cooling systems.
- Conduct HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL testing for validation.
- Work with cross-functional teams on system calibration, diagnostics, and optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control (Git, SVN).
Preferred Background- B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics, Electrical, CSE, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in embedded software development in automotive or mobility applications.
- Hands-on experience with C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Experience with CAN/LIN communication protocols and tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.).
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR, MISRA-C, and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) is an advantage.
- Exposure to HVAC, Thermal, or Powertrain systems preferred.
