About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer to join our remote team in North America. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong foundation in manual testing and a passion for automation and AI-driven quality assurance. As a QA Engineer at Flashfood, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and excellence of our platform through meticulous manual testing while pioneering the integration of automation and AI tools. Your work will directly impact the quality of our product, helping us shift towards modern, intelligent QA practices. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement testing strategies that improve product stability, accelerate release cycles, and enhance overall user satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of manual and automated QA experience with strong test design and execution skills
- Experience with test management tools such as Zephyr, TestRail, or similar
- Proficiency with automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar for automation and integrations
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Strong interest and willingness to explore AI/ML tools for QA processes
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to evaluate and set up effective test automation frameworks
Responsibilities
- Perform manual QA testing by reviewing Jira user stories and acceptance criteria, designing and maintaining test cases in Zephyr or equivalent tools
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify issues and ensure product quality
- Document defects thoroughly, track them in Jira, and collaborate with developers and product teams to facilitate prompt resolution
- Develop and automate repetitive test cases using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Research and implement AI-powered QA tools for test case generation, self-healing scripts, visual validation, synthetic data creation, and defect prediction
- Assess and identify opportunities to replace manual testing with automation and AI solutions to improve efficiency
- Work closely with developers and product managers to "shift left" testing, enabling earlier detection of issues in the development lifecycle
- Share insights on test coverage, defect trends, and QA metrics, including those derived from AI tools, to inform continuous improvement
- Advocate for the adoption of innovative QA processes and tools to enhance product quality
