Director of Marketing & Creative


The Director of Marketing & Creative is the architect behind our brand growth, content systems, and campaign performance.


You will own the strategy and execution of all marketing efforts — across paid media, funnels, content, blogs, email, and YouTube — while leading a talented creative team and collaborating closely with sales and leadership to drive measurable results.


This is not just a “strategy” role — this is a full-stack marketing operator position for someone who can both build and lead, turning ideas into campaigns and campaigns into conversions.


You must be equally comfortable in creative direction, copywriting, and data-driven performance marketing — and thrive in a fast-paced, AI-powered environment.


💰 Compensation

  • Part-time or project-based to start (flexible scope)

🎯 Primary Goals

  • Develop and manage a complete content system for YouTube, email, and brand marketing
  • Create high-performing long-form and short-form content ideas that position Mike and the company as thought leaders
  • Write and refine sales copy, product copy, and webinar copy that converts across funnels and campaigns
  • Build a scalable content calendar and workflow to keep all creative projects moving efficiently
  • Drive engagement and retention through high-quality newsletters and storytelling
  • Use AI and creative systems to improve ideation, speed, and collaboration across the team
  • Support the company’s major launches (SaaS, CRM, and education programs — SAA, AIAA, etc.) through strategic content, copy, and storytelling


✍️ Copywriting & Messaging

  • Write world-class copy for funnels, email campaigns, product launches, blogs, and video scripts
  • Create persuasive sales pages, webinar copy, and educational content that drives engagement and action
  • Craft weekly newsletters and email campaigns with strong hooks, storytelling, and CTAs
  • Maintain a consistent, authentic brand voice across all platforms and programs
  • Collaborate with the Director of Advertising to align messaging for funnels and campaigns
  • Continually improve copy through testing, feedback, and iteration
  • Train and guide the team in copywriting frameworks and messaging standards


🎥 Creative & Content Leadership

  • Lead ideation for YouTube long-form videos and short-form content across all social platforms
  • Collaborate directly with Mike to brainstorm content ideas, angles, hooks, and storytelling themes
  • Research what’s performing across the industry and adapt ideas to fit our brand voice and audience
  • Provide direction and feedback to the design and video teams on thumbnails, visuals, and scripts
  • Work with the Social Media Manager and editors to ensure creative consistency across all platforms
  • Manage the content calendar — tracking what’s in production, what’s publishing next, and what needs approval
  • Ensure all creative output (videos, thumbnails, emails, funnels, blogs) is polished, high-quality, and on-brand


🤖 AI, Systems, & Creative Workflows

  • Use AI to accelerate ideation, copywriting, and scriptwriting for video and content
  • Research and implement tools that streamline creative processes (e.g., Notion templates, content automation, blog repurposing)
  • Build repeatable systems for YouTube ideation, content briefs, and thumbnail testing
  • Integrate AI into email and content workflows to reduce time spent on repetitive creative tasks
  • Support the content team in learning new AI tools to enhance their speed and quality


📺 YouTube & Blog Growth

  • Manage YouTube strategy and creative direction: titles, thumbnails, hooks, retention optimization
  • Review analytics weekly to identify trends, winning topics, and new video ideas
  • Build systems for content ideation — tracking top-performing topics, audience insights, and competitor strategies
  • Collaborate with editors and designers to continually test and improve thumbnails and titles
  • Launch and oversee a full blog system for MikeSherrard.com, repurposing video content into SEO-optimized blogs
  • Maintain consistent publishing cadence across YouTube and blog platforms


📊 Reporting & Creative Optimization

  • Present weekly content reports — covering ideas in production, analytics insights, and new opportunities
  • Track engagement and retention data across YouTube, email, and blog content
  • Share key learnings with the leadership team to continually improve creative strategy
  • Monitor performance across all creative channels and optimize systems for speed, quality, and efficiency
