Network Engineer – Data for Autonomous Systems (Remote, Hourly Contract)

About the Role

Our organization is seeking experienced Network Engineers to contribute to a cutting-edge project at the intersection of networking and AI. This hands-on role involves labeling, annotating, and structuring data from deployed networking systems to support the development of autonomous infrastructure.

You will work closely with our AI and networking teams to ensure that raw infrastructure data is transformed into high-quality, actionable datasets that feed into machine learning pipelines. Key Responsibilities

• Review real-world network data including logs, configurations, telemetry, and event streams.
• Label and classify key behaviors, anomalies, and issues in network data.
• Help define schemas and structures for large-scale data pipelines.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability for AI models.
• Provide insights into network behavior that can inform the design of autonomous systems.

Qualifications / Skills Required

• Professional experience as a network engineer, ideally with enterprise networks (switches, APs, firewalls, etc.).
• Comfortable interpreting logs, events, and time-series metrics.
• Curious about the transformation of raw infrastructure data into machine learning inputs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with network data annotation tools or scripting (Python, SQL).
• Interest in AI, machine learning, or autonomous infrastructure systems.
• Experience with network monitoring or telemetry pipelines.

Work Location

Fully Remote – flexible schedule.

Estimated workload: 30–40 hours/week, part-time contractor.

Salary Range

$50–$70 USD per hour (for US and Canadian candidates), depending on experience and expertise
