At MANTL, we’re building a reliable, cloud-native platform that empowers independent software teams to deliver modern solutions for community financial institutions. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative, remote-first team focused on automation, availability, monitoring, incident response, security, and infrastructure engineering. You’ll work with tools like Terraform, Atlantis, Flux, and Go to build and maintain scalable infrastructure across our product suite. You’ll help guide integration efforts with client financial institutions and partners, unlocking opportunities that fuel our business growth. Together with your teammates, you’ll shape strategies that reduce toil, improve reliability, and make it easier for product teams to ship high-quality software.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve MANTL’s infrastructure, making key decisions on build vs. buy and prioritizing initiatives that improve platform stability and developer experience.
- Design and implement automation for managing cloud infrastructure, observability, and incident response.
- Collaborate across engineering to improve platform reliability and empower development teams.
- Work closely with external partners and clients to overcome integration and infrastructure challenges.
- Participate in an equitable on-call rotation—supported by great tooling and a strong team culture.
About You
- You keep up with new technologies and balance innovation with long-term maintainability.
- You’re empathetic—attuned to the challenges facing developers, customers, and teammates.
- You’re comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels—whether crafting roadmaps or jumping into an incident call.
- You value team collaboration and understand that reliability is as much about people as it is about systems.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience building and supporting infrastructure using modern tooling.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, Docker, GKE, Postgres, Kafka, and Terraform (or equivalents).
- Proficiency in a strongly typed language (Go experience preferred or a willingness to learn).
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong product mindset.
- Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform is a strong plus.
The salary range for this position is: $164,000 - $246,000
