Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned operations and execution leader to drive the planning, coordination, and delivery of BlizzCon 2026, in close collaboration with our in-house planning team. This temporary role will be responsible for orchestrating key aspects of the event lifecycle, from roadmap development and content planning to executive presentations and onsite execution.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role requiring strategic thinking, operational rigor, and exceptional communication skills. You will serve as the connective tissue across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and momentum toward a successful BlizzCon 2026.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.
This is roughly a 12-month temporary position.
Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Program & Roadmap Management
- Refine and maintain the master program roadmap for BlizzCon 2026, including key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Track progress across workstreams and proactively identify risks, blockers, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure alignment with leadership priorities and strategic goals.
Content & Experience Planning
- Partner with events, development, community, franchise, comms, marketing, and production teams to align on the content strategy and ensure smooth delivery of the attendee experience.
- Drive clarity on session formats, keynote planning, panel coordination, and interactive experiences.
- Ensure timelines are met and integrated into the broader event schedule.
Executive Engagement & Decision-Making
- Prepare and present regular updates to senior leadership.
- Facilitate decision-making forums, escalate unresolved issues, and drive accountability across stakeholders.
- Own the creation of executive-level materials including dashboards, status reports, and decision memos.
Budget & Vendor Oversight
- Collaborate with finance and procurement to track spend and secure approvals.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners to ensure timely delivery of services and assets.
- Monitor contracts, SOWs, and vendor performance.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a central point of contact across internal teams including development, events, community, comms, franchise, marketing, legal, security, and IT.
- Lead ongoing program syncs and working sessions to ensure alignment and momentum.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and urgency.
Onsite Execution & Postmortem
- Oversee onsite operations during BlizzCon 2026, ensuring smooth execution and rapid issue resolution.
- Lead post-event debriefs and retrospectives to capture learnings and inform future planning.
- Establish playbooks, best practices, and scalable models to improve operations for future events.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in program management, event operations, or strategic execution roles.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience with executive audiences.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
- Experience in gaming, entertainment, or fan-facing events is a strong plus.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $87,480.00 - $161,910.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
