About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and process improvement, with a strong focus on both functional and technical requirements. This role is critical in supporting our business operations by working closely with stakeholders to identify, define, and translate system needs into actionable designs. The QA Engineer will be responsible for performing comprehensive testing activities, including user testing, regression testing, and validation/verification processes, to ensure the quality and stability of our applications. Additionally, the role involves managing data, configuring system roles and permissions, providing Tier II help desk support, and producing detailed reports on testing outcomes and lessons learned. The position requires adherence to company policies, regular communication with supervisors, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment. This is a 100% remote opportunity, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to impactful projects supporting defense and logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance (must be verifiable at time of hire)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Keen knowledge of Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS) rules, policies, and transactional data management
- Experience with USMC Ammunition inventory processes, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Inventory Management Systems (IMS)
- Supply chain or logistics experience (preferred)
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in ambiguous environments
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- U.S. citizenship required
- If previously employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter may be required
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data management plans for OIS-MC, ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Create user accounts, assign roles, and manage user permissions within the system
- Validate system configurations, including roles, menus, actions, policies, and permissions to ensure proper setup
- Provide Tier II help desk support by troubleshooting reported bugs and issues, escalating JIRA write-ups to third-party vendors, and assisting in resolution efforts
- Conduct user testing, regression testing, and validation/verification activities to ensure application quality
- Create, update, and maintain test scripts and functional validation procedures for help desk support and user testing
- Track testing status, review progress, and analyze results to monitor the resolution of application fixes
- Collaborate within multi-functional teams, including Integrated Product Teams (IPT), to provide production support and support functions as needed
- Generate reports on help desk and test results, including lessons learned, corrective actions, and process improvement recommendations
- Offer subject matter expertise to improve test plans, functional validation guides, help desk procedures, and inventory management processes
- Identify workflow errors and implement strategies to enhance system stability and reduce operational errors
