A vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm with billions in multifamily assets under management is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and elevate its people operations. This role will be responsible for managing payroll processing, administering employee relations activities, and overseeing HRIS functions through ADP. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of HR best practices, and a passion for delivering excellent employee support.

What You'll Do


  • Payroll Administration:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time through ADP.
  • Review and validate timekeeping data, deductions, overtime, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
  • Manage payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • 401(k) account administration.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Support and execute full employee lifecycle and HR processes (hiring, performance, training, ad hoc processes)
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Develop and maintain HR process documentation, standard operating procedures, and job aids to ensure consistency, compliance, and knowledge transfer across the HR team.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Assist with investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure fair and consistent application of HR practices.
  • Respond to and process Verifications of Employment (VOEs) in accordance with company policy, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • HR Systems & Compliance (ADP Focused):
  • Manage and maintain employee records within ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate and analyze HR and payroll reports as needed.
  • Support benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR standards.
  • Prepare and distribute new hire paperwork, offer letters, background checks, and compliance forms.
  • Ensure timely completion of I-9s, E-Verify, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support the management of the company’s visa and immigration processes, including:

1 - Coordinating with external immigration counsel on case preparation and filings.

2 - Assisting employees with required documentation for work visa applications, extensions, and permanent residency cases.

3 - Monitoring visa expiration dates and maintaining accurate records to ensure timely renewals.

4 - Ensuring compliance with federal immigration requirements (e.g., I-9, E-Verify) and company policies.

  • Support benefits billing and reconciliation by processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and assisting with audit activities as required.
  • Guide employees through the Leave of Absence (LOA) and Short-Term/Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD) processes in ADP, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with policies, and timely communication with employees and managers.
  • Provide administrative support for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including job postings, candidate tracking, interview scheduling, and reporting; ensure data integrity and assist in process improvements for recruitment workflows.



What You Need


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of HR administration experience with payroll responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently as the sole HR member

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (+/- 1 hour accepted) - Colombia Time Zone.
