How can you make an impact?

  • The higher ed marketing organization is looking for a freelance marketing coordinator for a one-year contract (with potential to extend the contract after the first year).
  • This freelance Marketing Coordinator will provide internal support for a team of marketing managers, while performing a variety of administrative tasks and special projects to drive sales, promote products, and support cross-functional teams. Common projects include creating and updating sales tools, updating internal systems with data and information, scheduling virtual events, building demo courses, and researching competitors in the market. This freelance Marketing Coordinator will work closely with marketing managers and other teams throughout the higher ed organization to maintain a robust and up-to-date collection of assets and information/
  • This freelance role is remote and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Partner with the marketing and portfolio teams to update and create sales tools, marketing collateral, and product information in internal systems.
  • Support marketing managers in the execution of their marketing tactics which may include activities such as setting up and tracking webinars, creating surveys, running reports, ordering promotional materials, conference and event planning, and more.
  • Monitor and foster the flow of information across teams, including sales, marketing, and portfolio.
  • Identify and research competing products and platforms.
  • Perform office support duties such as submitting invoices, ordering supplies, creating contracts, monitoring supply budgets, updating databases to ensure data accuracy, maintaining project files, etc.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing Or Business, Preferably.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong organization, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • A passion for being proactive, taking on new challenges and processes, and self-management.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Asana, Qualtrics, Zoom, or Oracle are helpful but not required.
